In a word, the highlight of our Children’s Ministry at EBC is Awana! Our Awana Clubs meet every Wednesday evening from 6:30 – 8:00 pm at the Kiwanis Building in Downtown Paulding. Games, team competition, Bible lessons, music, and special outings await boys and girls four years of age through sixth grade who participate in our Awana Clubs. Our Awana program is comprised of three Awana Clubs for the following ages:

Emmanuel Baptist Church’s Awana Clubs are part of Awana Clubs International, a nondenominational, Christian youth organization headquartered in Streamwood, IL. Awana Clubs International provides curriculum to local churches that sponsor Awana Clubs around the world. The purpose of Awana is to teach children to know, love, and serve Jesus Christ. Awana uses many tools to fulfill this purpose such as social interaction, physical activities, and Bible lessons, study, and memorization. Awana also offers incentives such as awards and trophies to clubbers who reach various levels of achievement.

Weekly Awana Club meetings begin with an opening ceremony followed by three exciting periods. Game Time features uniquely awesome games consisting of four-team competition. Handbook Time allows personal clubber-leader interaction as young people study and achieve in Bible study and memorization and Christian service activities. Council Time includes Bible lessons, songs, announcements, and awards.

The name Awana is an acrostic derived from the first letters of the scriptural reminder that "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed" (II Tim. 2:15). To register your child for Awana, please complete the following forms and bring them with you to any meeting of our Awana Clubs.

Our Children’s Ministries also feature weekly Sunday School classes with superb teachers. Children learn the Bible in a safe, loving, and caring environment with other children their age. Classes meet each Sunday morning at 9:30.
